On June 21st, people across the globe celebrate the importance of movement through International Day of Yoga. Whatever your yoga is— however you choose to move your body and mind— is honored.Â
On this particular morning, we have a unique opportunity to rise with the sun and stand for the children of Philadelphia moving them closer to greater access to mindfulness and movement.
Class will take place on the rooftop, unless there is rain as we'll move inside. All levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please bring with you a mat and water. (We will have limited mats available to borrow- given out on a first arrival basis.). There is a $25 minimum donation to The School Mindfulness Project included in registration, if you are able and would like to donate more, you will have that option through the "DONATE" link above. You will need to bring a screenshot or printed copy of your donation for entry.Â
A parking lot is available for students, if needed, directly across from the event entrance on 8th and Mifflin.
“MANY SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY ARE RECOGNIZING THE BENEFITS OF INTEGRATING MINDFULNESS IN THE CLASSROOM, BUT ARE FACED WITH FIGURING OUT HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY EDUCATE THEIR SCHOOL STAFF WHILE PROVIDING A FOUNDATION IN MINDFULNESS TO THEIR STUDENTS."
